An Overview of Our Programs

We work to improve the health of Bolivians. Here's how:

Medical Supplies: Our volunteers and staff in the US collect medical supplies from health care providers and manufacturers. Volunteers pack this material and ship it to Bolivia, where it would otherwise be expensive and difficult to obtain.

Clinics: These supplies help stock clinics that we build in communities that have previously had no easily accessible health care.

Infrastructure: Over the years we've learned that health is about more than treating the ill. It's also about preventing illness by making sure people have safe drinking water and environmentally sound toilet, bathing and washing facilities. Because economic health is the best route to physical health, we've also worked to improve roads to the communities we serve, in order to increase access to markets. We've helped build and improve schools, because we believe that education is a path to economic and physical health.

Youth: Effective leadership for the future is the final step to assuring long-term health in far-flung communities. That's why we support youth by providing funds for advanced training and post-secondary education.
